Died: 10 January 1877, at Cuckfield, Sussex.
Buried: 14 January 1877, Holy Trinity Parish Church Yard, Hurtspierpoint, Sussex. Grave D-48.
Grave not marked. Near mother's headstone.
Enlisted: 12 October 1843 in 39th Regt at Great Bookham, Surrey.
60th Rifles 30 June 1844.
Service: 22 years.

CITATION

For conspicuous bravery at Delhi, on 14 September 1857, in charging and capturing the enemy's guns near the Cabul Gate; and again on the 18th of September 1857, in the repulse of a sudden attack made by the enemy on a gun near the Chandney Chouk.

Gazetted: 20 January 1860.
